Drum Count is a program that allows you to practice drum beats. You need to have a sound card and a microphone. The sound produced for each beat is captured with the microphone and is considered as a drum beat. The program includes a threshold slider bar that allows you to adjust the beat sensitivity not to count false beats. The "Max hit/sec" option allows you to select the maximum number of hits per second considered, also to avoid false hits to be counted. You can use two modes to count drum beats: Timer mode and Strokes mode. You can set the number of seconds you need to practice with the timer mode, or set the number of strokes to be counted with the stroke mode. If you need to restart practice, you can use the reset button. If you need a continuous practice, you can select the “autoreset” option and set the amount of seconds you need to restart counting. Once you have finished each beating session you can observe your hit count in the "Results database" window. The program also includes a Metronome that accents the first beat.
